A 45-year-old female lost her life in a tragic accident when the motorcycle she was riding with her husband was struck by a speeding BMW car in Mumbai’s Worli area early Sunday morning. Mumbai BMW hit and run case The car is reportedly driven by Mihir Shah. He is the son of a Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde camp) leader. He lost control on Annie Besant Road around 5:30 am. The victim was identified as Kaveri Nakhwa. She was immediately taken to a nearby civic hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her deceased upon arrival. Who is Mihir Shah Mihir completed his education up to Class 10 and made the decision to not pursue any further studies. He assisted his father in the management of their construction and real estate business in Maharashtra. During the incident, Mihir Shah was driving a high-end car along with Rajrishi Bidawar, who is currently in police custody. The BMW was later discovered abandoned in Kala Nagar in the Bandra East region. Law enforcement officials stated that Mihir left his vehicle in Bandra before escaping in an auto-rickshaw. Rajrishi Bidawat also opted for an auto-rickshaw and headed to Borivali following the event. Preliminary inquiries indicate that Mihir visited his girlfriend’s residence before going into hiding. Authorities are interrogating her for providing refuge to the suspect. Subsequently, Shinde Sena leader Rajesh Saha was apprehended by the police, as the BMW car was registered under his name. Interestingly, just a few hours prior to the car accident, Mihir and his companions visited a pub. However, the pub owner mentioned that Mihir did not consume any alcoholic beverages, but only had Red Bull. At present, authorities are probing whether Mihir was under the influence during the incident. Mihir has been accused under various sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sahita. It includes 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 281 (rash and negligent driving endangering human life), 125-B (endangering life and personal safety), 238, 324(4) (committing mischief amounting to causing loss and damage). In response to the occurrence, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that the law is applicable to all individuals equally and no one will be exempted.
