Ulajh review: Upon delving into the narrative of ‘Ulajh’, one cannot help but draw parallels to the common trope of officers falling prey to honey traps in espionage stories. Ulajh review In this film, Janhvi Kapoor’s character, Suhana Bhatia, is portrayed as a talented individual within a family of diplomats. However, her character’s swift entrapment by a charming chef leads to a series of events that may seem implausible for a storyline involving intelligence officers. Despite initial skepticism, Suhana’s transformation from a perceived traitor to a national hero mirrors the typical arc of Bollywood heroines. Through her journey, the film also addresses themes of nepotism and the notion of deserving one’s place in society. The movie is running for nearly two hours and 15 minutes. It effectively captivates the audience with its rapid-paced storyline. There are several astonishing moments. Particularly one just before the intermission that left the entire theater gasping collectively, stand out. The evolving relationships between friends turned enemies and vice versa contribute additional depth to the narrative. While certain aspects may be anticipated, the meticulous attention to detail, such as a criminal inadvertently revealing his identity through his accent, is commendable. Janhvi Kapoor should be commended for her bold choices. She sheds her Kardashian-esque image and opts for starched-cotton sarees in ‘Ulajh’. The actress is sincere and gives her best effort, yet there seems to be a missing element that prevents her from reaching the top tier. Additionally, she should focus on improving her performance in action sequences, as they come across as more staged than authentic. The chemistry between Janhvi and Gulshan is truly remarkable.
