Renowned filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is gearing up for his debut on OTT platforms with the upcoming series ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.’ It is based on the 1999 hijacking of an Indian aircraft by five Pakistani militants. In a separate real-life event, the hijackers held 176 passengers of the IC-814 aircraft captive for a week. The plane departed from Kathmandu en route to Delhi but was hijacked and diverted to Kandahar, Afghanistan.
