He acknowledged his influential role on the global stage.According to a statement from the President’s Office on X, “President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere of Fiji presented the Companion of the Order of Fiji to President Droupadi Murmu, marking the highest civilian accolade in Fiji.”President Murmu received a warm welcome from President Katonivere at the State House, where the two leaders held discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations.During her time at the State House, President Droupadi Murmu also took note of the progress made in the ‘Solarisation of Heads of State Residences’ project. It is an initiative from India that was launched in February of the previous year, as reported by her office on X.After her visit to Fiji, Ms. Murmu is set to travel to New Zealand and Timor-Leste. Her six-day trip across three countries aims to advance India’s Act East Policy, according to the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
