According to officials, the Ministry of Education recently announced the start of the second cycle of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP). It is part of the Ministry of Capacity Building Programme on Specific Learning Disability (SLD). Objective of special learning disability The program’s objective is to give Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) the fundamental know-how they need to effectively assist students with particular cognitive difficulties. The goal of the New National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is to provide an inclusive and equitable education for all children. It includes those with learning difficulties. News agency PTI quoted Higher Education Secretary Sanjay Murthy as saying, “It stipulates that HEIs must be aware of students with specific disabilities. It includes learning disabilities. It should be sensitized towards addressing associated challenges.” He continues, “A regular capacity program on learning difficulties is vital to overcoming this difficulty. It is held in collaboration with the Changeinkk Foundation. It is the inaugural cycle of the “Capacity Building Programme on Specific Learning Disabilities” ran from January to July 27.
