Fighter jets from Israel’s military claimed to have “struck and destroyed thousands of Hezbollah rocket launcher barrels. It aimed for immediate fire toward northern and central Israel.” A high-level conference to discuss the worsening situation in the north was presided over by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a declaration of emergency for the next 48 hours.
