“We welcome the collaboration between ISRO and JAXA for the Chandrayaan-5 mission,” PM Modi said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced the collaboration between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency for the Chandrayaan-5 mission.
“We welcome the collaboration between ISRO and JAXA for the Chandrayaan-5 mission. Our active participation has gone beyond the limits of the earth and will become a symbol of mankind’s progress in space,” PM Modi said. PM Modi announced the collaboration between the Indian and Japanese space agencies during a joint briefing after talks with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo.
Modi, during the briefing, also said that strong democracies are natural partners in shaping a better world. “We agree that as the two largest economies of the world and living democracies, our partnership is essential not just for the two countries but also for global peace and security,” Modi said, adding that the talks with Ishiba were “productive” and “purposeful”.
In the joint statement released by the both the Prime Ministers, the focus remained on the strengthening of economic cooperation and security cooperation between India and Japan. The Prime Minister said that India and Japan had established the foundation for a new chapter in their “special strategic and global partnership”, and outlined a roadmap for the next decade.
“In the center of our vision lie investment, innovation, economic security, environment, techology, health, mobility, people-to-people exchanges,” Modi f“We have set a goal of investment of 10 Trillion Yen from Japan in India in the next 10 years,” PM Modi said during the joint briefing, adding that special emphasis would be laid on connection both countries’ small and medium enterprises and startups.urther said.
PM Modi also announced cooperation between India and Japan in high technology, with a focus on semiconductors and rare earth minerals, adding that both the countries were moving forward with Digital Partnership 2.0 and an AI Cooperation Initiative.
