Nayab Singh Saini dethroned the Manohar Lal Khattar

Nayab Singh Saini took over as the new Chief Minister of Haryana. He is a prominent face of the BJP. He succeeded Manohar Lal Khattar. The oath ceremony was performed at 5 pm today. Recently Khattar and his entire cabinet tendered their resignations. This incident made the president make a quick decision. In a quick turn of events, Nayab Singh Saini was unanimously chosen as the BJP’s Legislative Party leader. He was chosen in the presence of Khattar and Haryana-in-charge Biplab Dev.This development concludes a day filled with speculation about internal issues within the ruling BJP and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).   This collision speculated most importantly regarding seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.The outgoing cabinet included 14 ministers, who submitted their resignations together. 

WHO IS NAYAB SINGH SAINI?

Nayab Singh Saini is 54 years old. He represents Kurukshetra in the Parliament. He belongs to the OBC community. He took over as the president of the BJP’s Haryana unit in October last year.He started his political journey with the BJP in 1996. Saini has climbed the ranks within the party. He held various positions. This includes district general secretary of the BJP Youth Wing in Ambala and district president in Ambala.Saini was elected as an MLA from the Narayangarh constituency in 2014. Later, he became a minister in the Haryana government in 2016.In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Saini won from the Kurukshetra constituency with a significant margin of over 3.83 lakh votes. He defeated his Congress rival. Saini is a close associate of Manohar Lal Khattar. He has been a prominent figure in Haryana politics since his days as an MLA.
