A formal complaint has been filed against senior BJP politician and former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa. In this case he is alleged to be abusing a young girl. The girl’s mother submitted a complaint.

Yediyurappa is facing charges under IPC sections 354(A) (sexual harassment) and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.The mother and daughter reportedly went to meet the BJP veteran on February 2. According to the FIR, they ask for help in a case involving cheating. However, Yediyurappa has refuted the claims, labeling them as “baseless”. The police commissioner has been consulted on the situation.“A lady paid me a visit a few days ago. She was sobbing and stating that something was wrong. I questioned her about the situation and told the police commissioner to assist her over the phone. Subsequently, the woman began disparaging me. I have raised the police commissioner’s attention to this issue. Police filed a complaint against me yesterday. “I can’t say that there is a political motive behind this; let’s see what happens next,” he told news agency ANI.In the meantime, the complainant in this case has filed up to 53 complaints to date that are unrelated to BS Yediyurappa.His office published a list of cases. His office said that the mother of the girl routinely files lawsuits.
