Gujarat University saw an unwanted event on Saturday. While conducting the evening Ramadan prayers, unidentified attackers targeted international students. In addition, the assailants used stone-throwing and sloganeering. It damaged the hostel rooms also.

The attack that happened on Saturday night. It took place on the Block A hostel’s property. According to the international students living in the hostel, some students from the Block B hostel visited them. They requested that they not pray during Ramadan anywhere on the hostel grounds.They also said that three students originally showed up to stop them. There were suddenly fifteen more. After some time, there were around 200.The SVP Hospital in Ahmedabad is treating the injured kids. It is reported that they are in stable condition.

According to an official statement of Police, “Last night in the Gujarat University campus, students from other countries were assaulted and vandalized by unknown assailants. It causes injuries.”“The police arrived and took charge of the situation. Strict action will be taken against all those involved. A case has been filed against the accused.”According to the reports, 75 of the 300 international students enrolled at Gujarat University reside in the A block dormitory.
