The third season of Bridgerton raises the bar. Its premiere immediately captivated viewers. It left people eager for more. The remaining episodes premiered on Netflix on June 13th. While the structure remains consistent with previous seasons. The treatment of the storyline has notably improved. Once again, we witness a Bridgerton sibling, Francesca Bridgerton (portrayed by Hannah Dodd), navigating the marriage market under the guidance of her mother, Violet Bridgerton.
Bridgerton 3 review Throughout the series, amidst the focus on romantic storylines, a subplot has emerged highlighting the friendship between Penelope, fondly called Pen, and Eloise. Their bond as childhood friends has been evident since the beginning. They share secrets. They mock societal norms together. However, as Pen’s hidden truths come to light, their once unbreakable connection begins to falter. Eloise struggles with feelings of betrayal while still longing for Pen’s companionship among the shallow debutantes. Viewers are left anticipating a resolution between these two friends who were once inseparable. Amidst the chaos of Penelope’s life, the writers have skillfully intertwined five additional captivating storylines. It involves the other Bridgerton siblings, Anthony, Francesca, and Benedict, as well as Penelope’s superficial sisters, Prudence (Bessie Carter) and Philippa (Harriet Cains), former boxer Will Mondrich (Martins Imhangbe) and his wife, and the intriguing new character, Lady Danbury’s brother. Despite the various distractions, Penelope remains the focal point. As she enters the marriage market for the third time, she understands that her youthful, flowery dresses must be replaced with sophisticated silk ensembles. What is special in bridgerton 3 The show has successfully maintained its diversity by including not only people of color but also individuals with disabilities in the Ton. This season, the characters have been portrayed with more depth compared to the previous two seasons. It results in some memorable dialogues. For instance, Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) is depicted as a conniving and competitive young woman. We get to understand the reasons behind her bitterness in life.
However, Bridgerton slightly falters when it excessively incorporates nudity. The inclusion of Colin’s threesomes and Jonathan Bailey’s perpetually shirtless Anthony feels awkwardly placed. It begs the question whether they are trying to emulate Game of Thrones’ strategy of attracting more viewers by showcasing more skin.
