iOS 18 brought a fresh take on customisation by allowing users to personalise the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Control Center. Apps and widgets can now be arranged in any open space, even above the dock. The update also introduced new visual effects, such as dark or tinted themes, to give app icons and widgets a unique appearance. Additionally, users can now enlarge icons for easier access and a more visually appealing experience.
2. Photo redesign option
The Photos app has undergone a major redesign. It is consolidating photo libraries into a single view.
New collections make it simpler to navigate through photos based on themes like recent days, favourite people and pets, and trips. Users can also pin their favourite collections for quick access. Furthermore, a new carousel view showcases daily favourites. It makes easy to revisit special moments.
3. Cool iMessage
In iOS 18, there will be some cool updates for messaging! You’ll be able to send messages even when you don’t have Wi-Fi or cellular connection, thanks to satellite messaging. This means you can stay in touch no matter where you are!
Not only that, but iMessage is getting even better. You’ll have new text effects to make your conversations more exciting. You can make your text bold, italics, underline, or even strikethrough.
And when you want to react to a message, you can use any emoji or sticker as a Tapback. Plus, you’ll be able to schedule messages to be sent later. So cool!
5. Apple AI
iOS 18 has a cool feature called Apple Intelligence. It uses smart models and personal info to make your experience better. It helps with understanding language. It makes images, and more.
Siri is getting a new look with a glowing light and better language skills. There are also new tools like Writing Tools and Image Playground for making fun images to send in messages. Plus, Apple is teaming up with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to Siri and iPhone apps.
