Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was detained by the police today. He was detained for questioning regarding his suspected involvement in the murder of a man. Along with Darshan, his wife Pavithra Gowda and 10 others have also been placed in police custody in relation to the case.

Swamy’s parents had lodged a missing complaint, but were advised to wait for 48 hours, even though it had only been a day since he disappeared. The murder was reported on June 9. It led to the registration of a case. The actor has been taken into custody following a complaint from Swamy’s mother. Authorities are currently investigating whether the actor played a direct role in the murder or was part of a larger scheme. Police have implemented strict security measures at Darshan’s residence in RR Nagar. Darshan is a highly acclaimed figure in the Kannada film industry.
