The Chief Minister visited Nadabet in Banaskantha district near the India-Pakistan border to participate in the state-level event commemorating the world yoga day. World yoga day: Benefits of Yoga
Various state ministers and Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary were present at the event. This marks the first time Yoga Day has been celebrated at Nadabet, according to an official statement.
During his speech to the yoga participants at Nadabet, the CM highlighted that yoga, a practice involving physical exercises and breath control. It has gained global popularity thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts. The event at Nadabet was a collaboration between the State Yog Board and the Border Security Force.
World yoga day: 51 yoga studios in Gujarat
The CM mentioned plans to establish 51 state-run Yoga Studios this year to offer a comprehensive health solution to the public. He emphasized the government’s dedication to spreading yoga across Gujarat. He stated that yoga, under PM Modi’s guidance, has become a widespread movement and the ideal remedy for today’s stressful lifestyle.
On the occasion, Patel mentioned to the participants that around 1.25 crore individuals are participating in Yoga Day events happening throughout the state on Friday. At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah practiced yoga at an event in a public garden on Sindhu Bhavan Road in Ahmedabad along with other participants, as per an official statement. Additionally, Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil joined a yoga program in Surat. Officials mentioned that other ministers, MLAs, MPs, and BJP office-bearers also joined in yoga events across the state. The United Nations General Assembly, following a request by Prime Minister Modi, decided in December 2014 to mark June 21 each year as the International Day of Yoga.
