Alok kumar pankaj death
On Tuesday, Alok Kumar Pankaj’s body was discovered on a railroad track in Sahibabad, close to Delhi. Ghaziabad resident Alok Kumar was working on deputation for the ED in New Delhi. He had previously been employed by the Income Tax division. He was recently detained twice by the CBI in connection with a suspected corruption case, but they released him for lack of proof. Following the arrest of Sandeep Singh, an associate director of the ED, by the CBI, Alok Kumar Pankaj’s name surfaced in a bribery case. Someone filed a complaint with the CBI alleging that Singh had allegedly requested Rs 50 lakh in exchange for not apprehending his son. After the CIA set up a trap, Singh was discovered in Delhi receiving a bribe of Rs 20 lakh. According to reports, Singh also accepted payments from a jeweler in Mumbai, whose business the Enforcement Directorate had previously probed. Alok Kumar Pankaj was included in the FIR as an accused in the same case as Sandeep Singh. After the case, Sandeep Singh was apparently suspended.
