Opening the Lausanne Diamond League meeting on Wednesday, two-time Olympic champion Armand Duplantis soared to another victory in his storied resume by winning the city pole vault competition. Sondre Guttormsen of Norway, Kurtis Marschall of Australia, and E.J. Obiena of the Philippines tied for third place with 5.82. At the Olympics in Paris, Duplantis stunned the fans at Stade de France by breaking the world record nine times. The remaining Lausanne Diamond League games will take place at Stade Olympique de la Pontaise on Thursday.
