Itanagar, Curfew was imposed in Roing town in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Dibang Valley district as tensions flared after a migrant youth from neighbouring Assam was lynched by a mob for allegedly sexually assaulting several girls, police said. The 19-year-old man, identified as Riaz-Ul Kurim from Bongaigaon, was taken into police custody on Friday after it came to light that he had allegedly sexually assaulted several girls of a school. A 27-year-old man in UP’s Sonbhadra was arrested for posting an objectionable post online about Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, a police officer said on Saturday. According to Renusagar police outpost in-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh, Chaurasia had posted an objectionable photo of Rahul Gandhi with an indecent comment on his WhatsApp status. DJB faces ₹1.42 lakh crore unpaid dues: Parvesh Verma. Water Minister Parvesh Verma on Saturday said the Delhi Jal Board is staring at an unprecedented financial crisis, with pending water bills around ₹1.42 lakh crore across the city.
