Deadlines of a week comes after specific mention of the fuel switches in a preliminary probe report on the June 12 Air India crash in Ahmedabad. The Indian civil aviation regulator has asked all airlines to mandatorily complete the advised inspection of the fuel switch locking system in Boeing planes by July 21, along with other airworthiness inspections of their fleets.
