He is facing charges under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following allegations of sexual harassment made by a woman during a flight.Dinesh Saraogi case The woman accused Saraogi of showing her adult movie clips on his phone after engaging in a conversation about their backgrounds, hobbies, and families. The man quickly grabbed his phone and earphones to show me inappropriate content. Then, he proceeded to touch me inappropriately. I was shocked and scared. Eventually, I managed to escape to the restroom and told the airline staff what happened,” the woman, who is the co-chair of the India Conference at Harvard, said. She praised the quick response of the Etihad Airways crew in handling the situation. “They took me to a special area. They gave me tea and fruits,” she mentioned. However, the woman claimed that Saraogi kept contacting the airline staff to find out where she was. After the woman’s parents filed a complaint, the Bidhannagar City Police in Kolkata registered a case against Saraogi under Sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
