Google pixel 9 review: In contrast, the Pixel 9 targets the Galaxy S24, the normal iPhone, and the OnePlus 12. And, in my opinion, it brings enough to the table to be a highly competitive phone, though, unlike the Pixel 9 Pro XL, it does not wow the crowd.
Google pixel 9 review
The Google Pixel 9 is more subdued, both in terms of what it offers to customers and in its hardware. At Rs 79,999, it is a more standard phone, with both advantages and disadvantages. In many aspects, the Pixel 9 resembles the Pixel 9 Pro. However, in many aspects it is not. It is understandable given the price disparity between these two phones.
Google pixel 9 review: design
The Google Pixel 9 is flawlessly crafted, as is this year’s more pricey Pixel. There are no niggles or craftsmanship difficulties. However, in keeping with its relatively modest pricing, the Pixel 9 features slightly different coatings and finishes. The phone’s frame is composed of aluminum, which feels strong and robust. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass covers appear to be long-lasting. The rear glass has a bright, polished appearance. This is more consistent than the lovely velvety texture Google provides with the Pixel 9 Pro. The Pixel 9 has identical bezels around its 6.3-inch display, as do the more costly Pixels and iPhones. It’s good to see Google finally working on this part of their phones. The phone’s size is very ideal.
Google pixel 9 review: camera
The Pixel 9 camera module is the same form as the Pixel 9 Pro XL, although it only houses two cameras. There is no telephoto camera here. Also there is missing the infrared sensor. It powers the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s Temperature app. However, the depth of the camera module is identical, most likely because the Pixel 9 has the same big main camera sensor as the Pixel 9 Pro.
Google pixel 9 review: display
The Google Pixel 9’s display lacks an LTPO panel and cannot achieve the blinding brightness levels of the Pro phones’ displays. Google refers to the Pixel 9 screen as Actua Display rather than Super Actua, as it does with the Pro Pixel. In practice, this isn’t as important as the specifications may suggest. Why? The Pixel 9 screen can become extremely bright The phone has the same color tuning as the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It resulted in similarly vibrant colors.
Google pixel 9 review: Processor
Similar to the more costly models in the lineup, the Pixel 9 is powered by the Tensor G4 chipset. Similar to Apple A-series CPUs and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, this chipset has eight cores. However, out of the three, its basic architecture is also a little bit conservative and outdated, which hurts it in benchmarks. The Tensor G4 is combined with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM in the Pixel 9. Both the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and face unlock function efficiently and accurately to unlock the phone. The WiFi network speeds I saw with the Pixel 9 on a 1 GHz connection were comparable to the mostly 200 Mbps to 350 Mbps speeds I was able to attain with the Pixel 9 Pro.
Google pixel 9 review: Battery
The Pixel 9 has one of the longest battery lives of any high-end phone I have ever seen. This phone is durable. Then continues for a while longer. The Pixel 9 lasted more than 17 hours with 20% battery life left in the PC Mark battery test, which cycles through a workload for hours while keeping the screen on.
