Harini Sri A 13-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu demonstrated her Bharatnatyam dance for an impressive three hours to raise funds for those affected by the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Kerala. Harini Sri gets blessing of Chief minister of Kerala The young performer had an audience with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, during which she donated Rs 15,000. This money was sourced from her personal savings, to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) on Thursday. She also shared a recording of her Bharatnatyam performance with the Chief Minister, who graciously bestowed his blessings upon her. Wayanad landslide latest updates In Tamil Nadu, various initiatives, including a crowdfunding feast, have been launched to assist those impacted by the landslides that struck Wayanad last month.On July 30, intense rainfall triggered landslides in the Mundakkai and Chooralmala areas of Wayanad, leading to the destruction of homes and trapping residents under debris. The calamity has resulted in the loss of 417 lives thus far.In response to calls from opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Wayanad on Saturday, August 10, to address the situation. Pm is considering designating the disaster as a national emergency. Designating the Wayanad landslides as a national disaster would enable the mobilization of additional resources for relief and rehabilitation efforts, among other advantages.
