According to news agency ANI, K Kavitha was also permissioned by the court to visit her two boys and other family members earlier in the hearing.As she was leaving the courthouse, Kavitha stated to the journalists, “We are fighting.” It is improper to make so many political arrests during election season. According to the ANI report, Kavitha was taken to Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court early on Saturday in order to appear before the Special Judge. Interestingly, her ED custody expires on March 23.
Mekha Saran is also the culprit: Court
The ED sought an additional five-day detention of Kavitha. ED stated to the court that investigation of the home of Mekha Saran is going on. Mekha Saran is the nephew of K Kavitha. Meanwhile, on Friday, March 22, the Indian Supreme Court declined to give Kavitha bail.Kavitha was ordered to approach the trial court. A bench consisting of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, MM Sundresh, and Bela M Trivedi gave this order. The judges explained that this court is bound by procedure and cannot circumvent it.Senior attorney Kapil Sibal said that individuals are being detained based on an approver’s declaration when he appeared on behalf of Kavitha before the supreme court. In response, the SC Bench stated that it would not be delving into the case’s merits at this time.In relation to the Delhi excise policy matter, Kavitha has filed a petition with the SC contesting her ED detention.
