The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated her as their candidate. She is pitting her against Vikramaditya Singh from the Congress party. This constituency has traditionally been dominated by the Congress. Kangana will be challenging the son of the former chief minister, Virbhadra Singh. Kangana Ranaut wrote this movie. She is also the director. Emergency was set to release in November 2023 but due to some circumstances it was rescheduled to 14th of June, 2024.
