Kartam Bhugtam review: Shreyas Talpade and Vijay Raaz in a different kalevar. In ‘Kartam Bhugtam’, a character is depicted waiting for the latest episode of ‘Crime Patrol’. Fans of shows like ‘Savdhaan India’ may find the new release to be quite predictable.
Kartam Bhugtam review
The film’s old-school storyline and treatment may remind you of the satellite films from the 90s summer days. Although the movie struggles to maintain consistent engagement and surprises. The performances by Shreyas Talpade and Vijay Raaz elevate it to a watchable experience.
Kartam Bhugtam cast
The thriller is directed by Soham Shah. He also directed some great thrillers like ‘Kaal’ and ‘Luck’. It delves into the realms of astrology and superstition. It stars Madhoo and Aksha Pardasany alongside NRI Dev (Talpade).
Kartam Bhugtam plot
Dev returns from New Zealand to sell his father’s property. While exploring the city with his childhood friend, he encounters astrologer Anna (Vijay Raaz). He becomes captivated by him. Anna not only aids Dev in resolving his property issues but also draws him into his world. It makes him a part of his family. Dev’s wife (Madhoo) treats him like a son, while his son Sameer views him as an elder brother. The blind trust that Dev places in Anna, following his sometimes absurd instructions, creates a sense of unease. Whether it’s the forceful demand for a bank account number with a total of seven or the frantic search for a shirt in a specific shade, Dev’s actions are indeed peculiar.
