Notably, 18-year-old Samit was recently spotted representing the Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy. But the right-hander’s tenure in the league was short lived, as he managed just 82 runs in seven innings with an average of 11.71 and a strikeout percentage of 113.88. With the aid of four fours and a six, he scored 33 (24) against Gulbarga Mystics, his highest score of the tournament. Apart from him, Soham Patwardhan will captain the side in the four-day matches, and Mohamed Amaan of Uttar Pradesh will captain the One-Day squad in the forthcoming series. Notably, on September 21, 23, and 26 in Puducherry, India U-19 will play three 50-over matches against Australia U-19. These will be followed by two four-day matches in Chennai starting on September 30.
