Lexus LX 500D review: Flagship SUV

The Lexus LX serves as the flagship model for the brand in India. It is evident why potential buyers may be drawn to this Land Cruiser-based, large luxury SUV. In addition to its substantial dimensions and commanding road presence, the vehicle exudes a more traditional, rugged appeal compared to its competitors. However, with a price tag of nearly Rs 3 crore on-road, it is not only more costly than vehicles like the Range Rover, but also lacks the same level of luxury. Lexus LX 500D review Lexus has continued to evolve the LX with each new iteration. It contributed to the LX’s tough and dominating appearance. Additionally, the slab-sided silhouette further adds to its commanding look. Moving to the back, the car features signature Lexus design elements such as a full-width LED light bar and L-shaped stop lamps. Unlike its predecessor, the latest iteration displays the Lexus name in large bold letters on the tailgate, rather than the Lexus insignia on both the front and back. The central floating touchscreen serves as the interface for infotainment functions and camera feeds, while the smaller touchscreen between the aircon vents provides access to the four-zone climate control, off-road settings, ride height control, a G-metre, and other vehicle controls.
