A FIR has been lodged by the Kerala Police against Malayalam actor Siddique in relation to the accusations of sexual assault made by an actress.
FIR against Actor Siddiqui
Based on the actress’s complaint, the Trivandrum Museum Police filed a case under the non-bailable offense of rape. The actress lodged a complaint with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) last night. It was established to look into the claims of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry. The actress had previously stated that she was not prepared to sue Siddique for the 2016 event. It occurred eight years prior. Days after the veteran Malayalam actor refuted the conclusions of the Hema Committee report, she disclosed the incident to the media on Saturday. The actress described her encounter. She claimed that Siddique called her to his room at the Mascot Hotel while posing as a film discussion, and that’s when he reportedly sexually assaulted her. “He assaulted me sexually in that motel. It was a ruse. “Everything he is stating at this point is untrue,” she declared. Siddique, meantime, filed a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP), alleging that the accusations are a vile attempt to damage his reputation. He said he was innocent, saying he had only ever met the actress once in 2016. That was when her parents were there. In response to the accusations of sexual assault, Siddique resigned earlier this week from his position as General Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
