Meet the wonder women of Narendra Modi 3.0 team

In the 18th Lok Sabha, seven women have been appointed to the new council of ministers. The previous council was dissolved on June 5. It had a total of 10 women ministers. The new female ministers are former Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP MPs Annpurna Devi, Shobha Karandlaje, Raksha Khadse, Savitri Thakur, and Nimuben Bambhaniya, as well as Apna Dal MP Anupriya Patel. Sitharaman and Devi have been appointed to the union cabinet, while the rest have been designated as ministers of state. Irani and Pawar lost their seats in Amethi and Dandori, respectively. Jyoti, Jardosh, Lekhi, and Bhoumik were not selected by the BJP. Devi, Karandlaje, Khadse, Sehrawat, and Patel emerged victorious in the recent elections. These women have become part of the new council of ministers. A total of 74 women secured seats in the Lok Sabha elections this year. It is a slight decrease from the 78 elected in 2019. Narendra Modi was sworn in on Sunday. He was accompanied by his 71 council of ministers. It is signaling the commencement of a new coalition government following two consecutive terms where the BJP held a majority independently. During Modi’s first term in 2014, there were eight women ministers. In his second term, six women were sworn in, and by the conclusion of the 17th Lok Sabha, there were ten women ministers.
