Megalopolis trailer: The much-anticipated sequel to seasoned director Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis has released its second trailer. The promo seems to be bizarre and self-referential at the same time.

It starts by scolding those who criticized Coppola’s earlier masterpieces. It includes Apocalypse Now and The Godfather. This in turn implies that Megalopolis will face harsh criticism as well, but that as time goes on and its layers are revealed, it will grow to be adored. Megalopolis alludes to the fall of the Roman Empire, revolves around the fall of an American empire. Fans showered the comment area to express their admiration for the filmmaker as soon as the teaser was published.
