Social media was ablaze with videos of shooters firing at concertgoers. Terrorists waited for renowned Russian rock band “Picnic” to take the stage. Recorded images of the massive auditorium showed people cowering, hiding under padded chairs. Those people were screaming as the sound of gunfire echoed around them. According to Russian media, the attackers drove off in a white Renault.

Thousands of people crowded into the massive Crocus City Hall. It houses a retail center and a music hall, to get seats before to the Soviet-era rock band Picnic’s performance. There was no space left in the 6,200-seat concert hall.Video footage showed people screaming and hiding beneath padded seats. The bullets echoed across the enormous music hall. It caused fear even before the event began. They were observed running across chairs in search of cover. A group of gunmen wearing battle fatigues and camouflaged clothing stormed Crocus City Hall. They started firing automatic rifles into the throng. According to Russian media, the armed men also employed explosives. They set up a big fire inside the facility with a “grenade or an incendiary bomb”. A gunman can be seen lighting at least one fire inside the hallway in footage that CNN geolocated. Social media videos revealed towering plumes of smoke over the structure.
