According to sources close to the family, Anita Goyal breathed her last around 3 am. Her friends and family members gathered at the hospital. The funeral arrangements are scheduled for later today. It is also reported that Naresh Goyal is currently battling cancer as well.

On May 3, Naresh Goyal’s legal representative requested the medical bail. He informed the Bombay High Court that the Naresh goyal had expressed a lack of desire to continue living.The court decided to withhold its decision on the bail request. Court instructed that Goyal remain in the private hospital where he is currently receiving treatment until May 6. Subsequently, on May 6, the Bombay High Court approved temporary bail for Naresh Goyal for a period of two months based on medical reasons. Earlier in February, a specialized court denied bail for Naresh Goyal. Court allowed him to be hospitalized in a private facility of his choosing for medical care. Naresh Goyal was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate in September 2023 over accusations of money laundering and diverting loans. The loan was amounting to Rs 538.62 crore. These loans were provided to Jet Airways by Canara Bank. In November 2023, Anita Goyal was taken into custody after the investigative agency presented its chargesheet in the matter. Due to her age and medical condition, she was granted bail by a special court on the very same day.
