The Uttarakhand State Licensing Authority has informed the court that the manufacturing licenses of 14 products from Patanjali and its sister concern Divya Pharmacy were suspended on April 15, effective immediately. In response to this, the highest court has raised concerns about the delay in taking action, stating that the authority has now suddenly become active. “This demonstrates that when you have the intention to do something, you do it swiftly. However, if you lack the intention, then nothing progresses for years. In just three days, you have taken all the necessary actions. What were you doing for the past nine months since assuming your position? Finally, you have realized your power and responsibilities. You have finally become active,” the court remarked.

The court has provided Patanjali with “another chance” to submit the original page of each newspaper containing the apology. The bench acknowledged, “There has been a noticeable improvement.” “Previously, only Patanjali was mentioned, but now there are names. We commend this. They have grasped the situation,” stated Justice Amanullah. Following the initial smaller apology, the court had instructed the company to issue a revised one.Both Baba Ramdev and Patanjali’s Managing Director Acharya Balkrishan have been excused from appearing in person at the upcoming hearing in the Supreme Court, scheduled for May 7.
