Ranneeti review: What is story
Jimmy Shergil is playing the role of Kashyap Sinha. He used to work for RAW but is now an ex-agent. He had a failed mission in Serbia 8 years ago. So as a punishment, he was transferred to the Ministry of Defence. Gurtek Sodhi has been with RAW for more than 20 years. He tells Sinha about the capture of Hammad Wadera. Hammad is a terrorist linked to ISI and Jaish. Sinha had encountered Wadera during his mission in Serbia. Sodhi also mentions that the arrest of Wadera has been kept secret. They interrogated him later could lead to severe consequences due to security protocols. Sinha is knowing the consequences, questions Wadera in Tihar Jail to uncover the person who betrayed Indian intelligence. Although Wadera doesn’t reveal the informant, he discloses a major attack planned on India. Sinha informs the National Security Advisor, Mr. Madhusudan Dutta, about the impending attack by terror groups like Jaish and ISI. Dutta inquires about Sinha’s sources. Sinha reluctantly admits that Wadera provided the intel. Dutta gets angry upon learning about the interrogation and demands Sinha’s resignation the next day. Before Sinha can submit his resignation, an attack on Pulwama occurs.
