The owner and manager of Rau’s IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, were arrested on Sunday after three students tragically died in their coaching center due to flooding in the basement. Deshpal Singh is the manager. They are facing charges of culpable homicide and negligence. An FIR has been lodged at Rajinder Nagar Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). An investigation is underway. She emphasized that such establishments are in breach of building regulations. These do not comply with the established norms.Furthermore, the Mayor of Delhi has called for an immediate investigation to determine if any officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) are accountable for the unfortunate incident.
