The owner and manager of Rau’s IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, were arrested on Sunday after three students tragically died in their coaching center due to flooding in the basement. Deshpal Singh is the manager. They are facing charges of culpable homicide and negligence. An FIR has been lodged at Rajinder Nagar Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). An investigation is underway. The two individuals responsible for the coaching center have been taken into custody, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police M Harsha Vardhan.Delhi ias coaching center flood accident: Name of students that diedThe individuals who lost their lives have been identified as Tania Soni (25), Shreya Yadav (25), and Nevin Dalwin (28).Shreya hailed from Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni was a native of Telangana, and Navin Dalwin belonged to Ernakulam in Kerala.The Mayor of Delhi, Shelly Oberoi, has instructed for measures to be taken against all coaching centers in the city that are operating from the basements of buildings. She emphasized that such establishments are in breach of building regulations. These do not comply with the established norms.Furthermore, the Mayor of Delhi has called for an immediate investigation to determine if any officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) are accountable for the unfortunate incident.
