Rishabh Pant suspension reason
DC captain Rishabh Pant got in trouble for his team’s slow over-rate during the match against RR. He has to pay a fine of INR 30 Lakh. He will also miss the next match. This is because he broke the IPL Code of Conduct. Pant won’t be playing in the important match against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. If DC loses, they will be out of the tournament. According to Article 8 of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Delhi Capitals lodged an appeal. It contests the decision made by the Match Referee. Subsequently, the appeal was forwarded to the BCCI Ombudsman for examination. The Ombudsman conducted a virtual hearing. It confirmed that the ruling of the Match Referee stands as final and binding,” as stated in the BCCI’s official statement.
