Know the details about the order of the Supreme court in which it ordered the termination of 30 weeks pregnancy. The Supreme Court made a decision on Monday to end the pregnancy of a 14-year-old girl. She was a victim of rape. They disagreed with the Bombay High Court’s decision. The Bombay high court had ordered to not allow the termination of the pregnancy. It stated that time was of the essence for the girl’s well-being. Supreme court shocking order The Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, led a group of judges. They ordered Sion Hospital in Mumbai to form a team to carry out the medical termination. They also made sure that the hospital would safely transport the girl. The government of Maharashtra would cover the expenses. The girl’s mother took the case to the Supreme Court after the Bombay High Court refused to allow the termination due to the pregnancy being in an advanced stage. According to the girl’s mother, her daughter went missing in February 2023. She was found three months later in Rajasthan. She was pregnant as a result of a sexual assault. The Supreme Court asked for a medical check-up of the girl. She survived the rape on April 19. The court wanted to know if she could have a medical termination of pregnancy or not. The hospital in Mumbai had to make a report about her health. Hospital has to present it to the court on April 22. Today, the dean of the hospital gave the report. He says that a team of six doctors examined the girl.
