Tesla may cut the 6000 jobs in the upcoming hiring. Know the details below; Tesla is planning to let go of 6,020 workers in Texas and California. They’re doing this because they want to deal with the fact that not as many people are buying their cars and they’re not making as much money as before. This is causing a lot of pressure on the company because other companies are also making electric cars and there’s more competition now.
Tesla profit report
Tesla’s profits went down for the first time since 2020. It is not good news. The CEO of Tesla is going to talk more about their plan on Tuesday. Last week, Tesla said they were going to reduce their workforce by more than 10% worldwide. They didn’t say exactly how many people would be affected. Now we know that 3,332 jobs in California and 2,688 jobs in Texas will be cut starting from June 14th. In a recent social media post, Musk talked about how Tesla has created a lot of jobs in California. He mentioned that the company has made more than 30,000 manufacturing jobs in the state. But unfortunately, there will be job cuts in Texas. This will affect about 12% of Tesla’s workers in the Austin area. In that area their gigafactory and headquarters are located. The layoffs will also impact 285 employees at Tesla’s facility in Buffalo, New York. This facility is where the team works on the Autopilot driver assistance software. Tesla’s workforce has been growing in the past few years. By the end of last year, they had over 140,000 employees. It is more than the around 100,000 they had in 2021.
