The Manipur state administration informed the Delhi High Court earlier in the day that the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 could not be held in the state because of the ongoing tensions. The Manipur Chief Secretary submitted a letter to the High Court. In this letter he argued that it would not be acceptable to establish centers in the state due to the unstable scenario there. It further stated that, similar to what happened the previous year, Manipur students who are sitting the test may be given preference for placement at the closest locations outside of the State.
