In China, Xiaomi is a well-known brand mostly associated with televisions, smartphones, and tablets, but it also produces a wide range of other household appliances. It includes refrigerators and washing machines. Even though the company manufactures foldable scooters, they haven’t had a car up until now. However, that all changed earlier this year when the SU7 was introduced to the Chinese market.

As part of their festivities for their tenth anniversary, the brand has transported a unit to India and has sold over 20,000 SU7 devices in China thus far. The automobile is only currently available for purchase in China, thus the manufacturer has stated that there are no plans to introduce the SU7 to the Indian market. A representative also stated that the process of bringing it here would take three to four years, so the SU7 won’t arrive until 2027.

The SU7 is priced between 2,15,000 and 3,00,000 Yuan (about Rs 25 lakh and Rs 35 Lakh). This makes it a great choice for the Indian market.

It is noteworthy that Xiaomi is recruiting automotive designer Li Tianyuan, who previously worked on the BMW iX SUV. Additionally, it is immediately clear that the Hyundai Ioniq 6, Porsche Taycan, and Tesla Model S served as influence for this vehicle. But the car looks excellent in person, and this has been done tastefully. Its deep bonnet, pointed snout, flush LED headlights, and elevated wheel arches give it a low stance. The Lidar sensor and camera pod are located on the roof, and the doors feature flush door releases. It’s interesting to note that the SU7 claims to have the best drag coefficient in aerodynamics, at 0.195.

The SU7 looks great. It has a lot of cameras to supplement the Level 2 ADAS. Tere are a total of 11 of them throughout the car. The cabin is tidy. It has fewer buttons than one might expect from Xiaomi, but it has large screens. It includes a 16.1-inch 3K display in the center that is incredibly quick. The car’s steering is straightforward. It includes two bottom knobs and a scroll control that manages numerous internal operations. When the SU7 is started, a small monitor that is hidden from view swivels into view to show the driver. Once again, the HUD is large and packed with features. It is highly customizable. The seats themselves were well-padded. Seats had complete motorized adjustability. Seats are heated and ventilated. It has two motors. These produce 673 horsepower and 838 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the maximum speed is 265 kmph. With a 101kWh battery pack, the SU7 Max is said to have an 800km CLTC range.
