Do you have access to YouTube Premium? I have some unfortunate news for you. In India, Google has raised the cost of its YouTube Premium services by as much as 58%. Some users can still get free access to YouTube Premium on the platform, though.
YouTube India price hike
Naturally, only new users are eligible for the free access offer. Students can now start with the YouTube Premium plan for Rs 89 per month. The Individual plan will now run you Rs 149 per month. Prior to this, the prices of the Student and Individual plans were Rs 79 and Rs 129, respectively. A significant price increase has been implemented for the Family and Annual Individual plans; the Family pack now costs Rs 299. This is more than the Rs 189 purchase price.
How to get free YouTube subscription
The free program will not be available to those who are currently subscribers to YouTube Premium. If you have more than one Google or YouTube account, a banner offering a free three-month membership will appear. Accounts that have never been connected to YouTube Premium can see this offer. To accomplish this, launch the YouTube app, hit the icon for your profile on the bottom right corner, and then scroll down to select “Get YouTube Premium.” When it opens, you’ll find a promotion for a free three-month subscription to YouTube Premium. It is valid on an individual monthly pack. There’s also the Family and Student pack with a free one-month subscription deal.
