Paris Olympic 2024: Neeraj Chopra achieved the second-best throw of his career. He measured 89.45 meters, in an effort to defend his Olympic title in men’s javelin during the final event in Paris. However, this performance fell short as Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem established a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters. He secured the gold medal. It marked the first track and field gold for Pakistan at the Games on August 7. Chopra’s performance earned him an Olympic silver. He contributed to his impressive collection of accolades, with his only valid attempt out of six throws. Although it was not his most outstanding day in competition, he succeeded in bringing home India’s inaugural silver medal from the Paris Olympics. Unfortunately, it did not occur. We will see when that moment arrives. The competition was incredibly fierce and thrilling. Securing a medal for my nation brings me joy,” he continued.
